A New Path to Spaces at Scale: Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System
As organizations rethink how their people meet, collaborate, and share content, the pressure on AV teams has never been higher. Spaces must be more flexible, deployments must be standardized, and support teams must do more with less. Platforms must scale across the entire spectrum of room types, from a single executive boardroom to hundreds of everyday meeting rooms.
The Q-SYS Full Stack AV Platform was built to meet this challenge. By combining audio, video, and control with cloud-based monitoring and management, Q-SYS enables integrators and technology leaders to design and operate spaces holistically, regardless of size or complexity.
Within any facility, organization or institution, one can find three key space categories:
• High-Impact Spaces, which include auditoriums, divisible rooms, executive training centers, premium boardrooms, and other critical environments where advanced customization and high reliability are the standard.
• Spaces at Scale, which include small, medium, and large collaboration rooms deployed across campuses or enterprises, where consistency, repeatability, and supportability are essential.
• Spaces In-Between, which include lobby environments, hospitality, all-hands spaces, or multi-purpose rooms that require more capability than all-in-one devices but do not require the complexity of a full custom integration.
This year, Q-SYS is expanding what is possible in the Spaces at Scale category with the introduction of the Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System, a significant step toward simplifying large, repeatable deployments without compromising capability.
Introducing the Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System
Built for fast, standardized deployment of medium to large collaboration spaces at scale.
The Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System is designed to support integrators by addressing a longstanding market challenge. Many organizations have rooms that sit between simple all-in-one appliances and fully customized AV systems, and these mid-range spaces can be the hardest to standardize. They often increase labor demands, strain budgets, and introduce configuration inconsistencies across large deployments.
Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System gives integrators a smarter way to handle these spaces through a modular, networked AV system supported by a streamlined, web-based workflow. It builds on the trusted Q-SYS foundation used in high-impact environments while offering a simpler, repeatable process that saves time, reduces manual setup, and unlocks greater efficiency across larger rollouts. The result is a system that helps partners deliver more rooms with greater consistency, while freeing them to focus their expertise where it matters most.
Simplified Hardware
Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System centers on two hardware components, sold together as a system kit:
• RMP-100 Processor, which consolidates audio processing, control logic, video distribution, PoE switching, and USB-C bridging for conferencing into a single device.
• QIO-VEN4 Expander, which sits closer to participants and content and provides network ports for microphones and loudspeakers, HDMI input for local content, and USB-C connectivity for Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) workflows.
These devices integrate with the broader Q-SYS Platform, including NC Series cameras, NL Series loudspeakers, NM Series microphones, and TSC touchscreens. Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System delivers fast deployment, predictable results, and a standardized experience across many rooms.
Simplified Configuration
A no-code, web-based workflow optimized for scale.
nlike traditional Q-SYS Designer workflows, Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System utilizes a new web-based workflow that is optimized for simplicity, repeatability, and scale. This web-based GUI is designed to provide a familiar experience similar to Q-SYS Core Manager and Q-SYS Reflect, making it easier for partners to manage more solutions across more spaces. It also includes features like auto-population of devices and automated UCI generation for streamlined commissioning.
Key benefits include:
Fast Device Discovery
Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System automatically identifies connected Q-SYS devices. Integrators simply confirm the devices, choose aesthetic preferences, and move on. This eliminates the need for programming, abstract wiring, or block diagram work.
Video I/O Setup
HDMI and network video inputs and outputs are presented through clear visual tools. This makes it easy to configure sources, displays, and content paths without technical complexity.
Automated Audio Optimization
When used with Q-SYS NM Series microphones and NL Series loudspeakers, the system runs an automated room optimization process that analyzes reverb, echo, and noise. It applies EQ and acoustic adjustments in three to five minutes and concludes with a performance report. This ensures consistent tuning across an entire deployment.
Automatic UCI Generation
Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System generates a complete control interface based on the devices present. Integrators can modify colors, icons, and backgrounds, but the heavy lifting is already done. This ensures a unified experience across every location.
Simplified System Management
Designed for long-term supportability.
Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System integrates tightly with Q-SYS Reflect, the cloud-based monitoring and management platform already used by organizations with large Q-SYS footprints. Through Reflect, teams can monitor room health, push firmware updates, deploy presets across buildings or campuses, and manage both Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System and high-impact Q-SYS systems from a single interface.
For organizations that prefer not to use cloud services, Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System can also be configured and managed locally.
Why Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System Matters
For integrators and technology leaders, including members of Edge, the RoomSuite Modular System represents a practical way to standardize and scale collaboration spaces. It brings the advantages of the Q-SYS Platform to medium and large rooms without requiring programming expertise or long integration timelines.
Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System is:
• Simpler, thanks to reduced hardware counts and consistent workflows.
• Faster, with automated tuning, device discovery, and UCI creation.
• More Repeatable, since deployments follow consistent templates.
• More Supportable, due to Reflect integration and unified system visibility.
Q-SYS RoomSuite Modular System bridges the gap between all-in-one appliances and fully customized AV systems. It provides a scalable path forward, supported by the full power of the Q-SYS Platform.
