The Cutting Edge featuring Q-SYS
On July’ s episode of The Cutting Edge, the team had the opportunity to sit down with Jason Baez, Director of Sales at Q-SYS, to discuss a little bit of major league baseball, InfoComm 2026 booth success, and most exciting: some new products out now and coming soon!
At InfoComm 2026, Q-SYS challenged the traditional approach to AV design by encouraging organizations to think beyond individual rooms and instead focus on connected environments. Rather than treating each conference room or classroom as a separate project, Q-SYS is promoting the idea of designing places, spaces, and applications that work together to create a seamless user experience.
As Jason Baez explained, "The spaces need to be curated with a collection of applications to deliver the right experience. So instead of thinking AV room-by-room, we're thinking holistically about the overall environment." That philosophy was on full display throughout the Q-SYS booth, where attendees saw how the platform connects technology across an entire building instead of managing isolated systems.
A key part of that strategy is Q-SYS Reflect, the cloud-based management platform that gives IT and AV teams visibility into multiple buildings and spaces from a single dashboard. Combined with its mobile app, Reflect helps administrators monitor and manage their AV environments more efficiently, wherever they are.
Q-SYS also previewed a new all-in-one collaboration bar expected to launch in the coming months, further expanding its portfolio of integrated solutions. Together, these innovations reinforce the company's vision of delivering a complete AV platform that simplifies management while creating smarter, more connected spaces.
